Chili Kickoff and Ice Skating Rink - Memorial Mall (rain: PMU Ballrooms); 4:00 p.m.—8:00 p.m.
Come celebrate the first event of Homecoming week with the Purdue Student Union Board and Purdue Alumni Association! Kickoff a great homecoming week with ice skating, chili, hot chocolate/hot apple cider, and crafts! FREE with Purdue Student ID. Not a student? No problem - $3 to skate, $3 for chili, or $5 for both.
Don't miss out on this first ever event with an ice skating rink!
Wednesday, November 4
Trivia Night: Homecoming Edition - Union Commons; 7:00-9:00pm
Do you love trivia? We will be hosting a Purdue-inspired trivia night with some hidden questions "winter wonderland themed". Sign-up with a group of 6 the night of, so come early to ensure that your organization is in! All organizations will receive points for attending the event; however, the top winners of the night will receive bonus points towards their overall score.
*Items can also be dropped off for the non-profit organizations during this event between 6:15 - 7:00pm*
Thursday, November 5
Homecoming Service Event- Food Finders and Almost Home Humane Society; Memorial Mall ; 1:00-5:00pm
This year we will be partnering with FoodFinders Food Bank and Almost Home Humane Society to collect food items for our Purdue University food pantry AND animal items for one of our local shelters. Organizations, departments, and businesses are encouraged to drop off items during the event to be "weighed" and collected by the two non-profit organizations. Items collected will be tallied and added to the overall score for Purdue student organizations and departments. Stop by for some fun activities, puppies, and to meet the 2015 Homecoming Candidates!
Friday, November 6
Parade—Starts at 7:30 p.m. from Pierce/State Street to Mackey Arena
Celebrate with friends at the Boilermaker Night Train Parade! The parade will feature walking units, vehicles and floats made by student organizations and local businesses. The route will begin at the corner of Pierce and State Street, west on State Street, north on Martin Jischke Drive, east on Third Street before turning north on University Street and ending at Mackey Arena. The parade will highlight this year’s theme “Bundle Up Boilers” Come celebrate our university and community at the parade!
Saturday, November 7
Purdue Football vs. Illinois—Noon
Come watch as our Boilermaker football team takes on the Fighting Illini from Illinois.
