Executive Officer

Executive Officers are responsible for:

  • Budgeting and approving major expenditures for all programs and services.
  • Formulating, adopting and enforcing policies, procedures, rules and regulations for programs, services and administrative areas.
  • Developing and supporting policies and procedures relating to internal operations of the Board.
  • Fulfilling the cooperative management role with the staff of the Purdue Memorial Union.
  • Directing, motivating, rewarding and counseling Directors in the fulfillment of their responsibilities and personal development.
  • Directing and participating in the recruitment and training of new members.
  • Presenting and interpreting the role, philosophy and policies of the Purdue Student Union Board and Purdue Memorial Union to students, faculty, staff, alumni and others as needed.
  • Promoting and attending programs.
  • Attending weekly Board of Directors meetings.
  • Attending weekly executive officer meetings.
  • Attending 10 office hours per week.

Time Commitment: Approximately twelve to fifteen hours per week.
